Trouble Signing In
Is Adventist Place not accepting your email and password?
Getting the error "Invalid email or password" but you think it's right?
Here's some possibilities to consider.
A. Migration requires a new sign up to move your website(s) into
If you have used the Adventist Place website builder prior to the September 2026 migration you need to sign up for a new account in the new Adventist Place system. That new account can then be linked up to the sites created in the pre September 2026 Adventist Place website builder.
Note: The application name 'Adventist Place' used to be just a website builder, but from September 2026 'Adventist Place' now refers to a bigger system where a website builder is but one of the many features and services Adventist Place will offer.
To sign up to the new Adventist Place and have your previous website(s) linked to this new account:
- Find your email invite (check your junk or promotions folders)
- Click the invite link in the email
- On the page that loads, click the 'sign up' link that appears in the blue bar above the sign in area. (don't try and sign in on this page!)
- Enter your email and password on the sign up page
B. Invitation expired
A sign up can only be initiated via an active invitation link that is emailed to you by the Adventist Place system administrators. The invitation email you receive expires 30 days from delivery. Contact us to have your invitation resent to the email your previous account used.
C. Multiple churches/websites
If you are the webmaster of multiple Adventist Place websites, you will receive an invite email for each website and need to click the invite link in each email. However, you only need to sign up for a new account (with the same email) once. When you have created your new account on Adventist Place and are logged in, clicking any further invite links in email invitations for other websites will simply ask you to confirm that you want the additional website(s) as part of your new Adventist Place account.
D. Sign up, don't sign in
If you are migrating to the new Adventist Place, make sure you are not trying to sign in before you have signed up to the new Adventist Place. Your previous email and password will not let you sign in to the new Adventist Place until you sign up again. You must use the same email address when you sign up, and you can choose to set the same password as previously used for the old Adventist Place website builder - if it is strong enough.
E. Forgot Password is not sending through an email
On the sign in screen, after clicking the 'forgot password?' text and then filling in the form with your email and pressing the blue 'Reset Password' button, the reset password email should arrive in that same account-holding email address within a minute. That email has a 'Change my password' link to click, which takes you to a screen where you enter a new password twice and click 'change my password'.
The main reasons you may not be able to reset a password include:
-
The reset password email is ending up in your spam/junk/promotions folder. Look there if you don't see it it in your inbox after a minute of resetting your password.
-
The email you entered has a typo or is not the one you normally log in with. The Forgot Password form will accept any email address even if the email entered is not in the system.
- You have not set up an account on the new Adventist Place, and the email you used in the old Adventist Place website builder will not be found to reset.
NOTE: An existing password on your account only changes after entering a new password, confirming it, and then clicking 'change my password'.
