Events
Events lets you create, publish, and share church events — both one-off and recurring. Events can be shown to your local members, the wider Adventist community, or the general public across church finders and Google Search.
Getting There
- From the overview page for your church/place
- Click Events in the left menu
- Click New in the top-right corner
A sidebar on the left guides you through the steps: Details → Dates & Times (recurring only) → Publish. After publishing, an Overview step also appears.
Step 1: Event Details
General Details
- Title — The name of your event.
- Summary — A short description (maximum 140 characters). This appears in event listings and search results.
- Image — Upload or select a cover image for your event. Required.
Times
- Event Type — Choose between:
- Single Event — An event that occurs once. You'll set the start date, end date, and time zone.
- Recurring Event — An event with multiple dates. You'll add dates and times in the next step after saving.
Tip: You can't change a single event to recurring (or vice versa) after creating it.
- For a Single Event: set the Start Date, End Date, and Time Zone.
- For a Recurring Event: set the Start Time, End Time, and Time Zone. You'll add the specific dates in the next step.
Location
- Venue — A physical location. Select from your saved venues or create a new one from the dropdown. Required for in-person events.
- Online — An event that takes place online (no venue needed).
Tip: Venues are managed under About > Venues. If you don't see the right venue, add it there first.
Registration
- Website URL — A link to the event's registration page or external website. Optional.
- Free Event — Check this if the event is free to attend. Optional.
Description
- A rich text editor for the full event description. Include details like the schedule, speakers, topics, and anything attendees should know.
Additional Details
- Interest — Select the interest that this event relates to. Required.
- Demographic — Who the event is for (All, Kids, Teens, Young Adults, Men, Women, Seniors). Defaults to All. Required.
- Campaign — Optionally link this event to a campaign for reporting. Only visible if you have campaign access.
- Group — Optionally link this event to a group. Only visible if you have group access.
After Saving Details
- Single events go directly to the Publish step.
- Recurring events go to the Dates & Times step to add session dates.
Step 2: Dates & Times (Recurring Events Only)
Click Add Dates & Times to open a dialog where you generate sessions:
- Start Date — The first date of the series.
- Frequency — How often the event repeats:
- Once — A single additional date
- Daily — Every day between start and end date
- Weekly — Same day each week
- Monthly — A specific week and day each month (e.g., "First Saturday")
- If Monthly: select the Week (First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Last) and Day (Sunday–Saturday).
- If not Once: set an End Date for the series.
- Start Time / End Time — The time for each session.
Click Create to generate the sessions. A maximum of 52 sessions can be added per recurring event.
You can then:
- Click Edit Times on any session to adjust its start/end time. Check Apply changes to all dates in series? to update all future sessions at once.
- Click Delete to remove individual sessions.
When you're done, proceed to the Publish step.
Step 3: Publish

Choose who can see your event:
