Groups

Groups let you organise ministries, clubs (Adventurers/Pathfinders/Ambassadors), and small groups within your church so the community can discover them. Groups can be listed publicly for others to find or kept private for internal use.

Event's can be assigned to groups and will be shown on a groups overview.

Getting There

1. From the dashboard, select your place
2. Click About in the left menu
3. Click Groups in the sub-menu that appears
4. Click New in the top-right corner

Filling Out the Form

General Details

• Name — The name of the group (e.g., "Pathfinder Club", "Young Adults Small Group"). Required.
• Group Type — Select the type that best describes this group. Options:
  • Adventist Community Services
  • Adventurer Club
  • Pathfinder Club
  • Ambassador Club
  • Small Group
  • Other
• Visibility — Controls whether this group appears publicly on your church and other websites.
  • Public — visible to anyone.
  • Private — only visible internally within Adventist Place
• Website URL — A link to the group's own website or page, if it has one. Optional.
• Image — Upload or select a cover image for the group. Optional.

Location

• Venue — Select the location where the group meets or create a new Venue. Venue's can be private addresses in which can case the only city/suburb will be shown publically and a pin on a map within 500 meters.

Tip: Venues are managed under About > Venues.

Description

• Provide a description of the group for the community. This can include details such as the purpose, activities, and membership requirements. Optional.
